In order to test the Keyboard once you uploaded the code, use the next connections with another Arduino. Connect the UART TX and RX pins and an LCD to see the text or just use the serial monitor. Remember to disconnect the RX and TX pins when you upload the code to the Arduiono, othwerise you won't be able to uplaod it.
