Am building an arduino based barrel heater temperature controller.the mains supply in zambia is 220 volts,kindly help as as possible.Alternatively,help me build a Triac based circuit for interfacing the arduino output to the 220 ac heaters.

That video is on my to do list but not yet made... Look at my TRIAC control video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYUcXIhxL1I&t=23s and with the PID video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXhTFBGgskI&t=4s You could create the conteroller.

Imagine this: the PWM signal from the PID video applied to the TRIAC in the TRIAC video. Keep up!

I tried implementing the TRIAC circuit with a potentiometer and bulb but it was not dimming the bulb,infact, the bulb just showed a bit of some light and then remained off for good.i urgently need your help with the PID temperature controller and triac circuit arrangements,am doing a project which must work today.

I have made the triac circuit and it is able to dimme the bulb,now,how do i implement the setting of digital pin 8 to trigger an interrupt on state change in the PID temperature without control?

I am working on my final year project and i have run out of time,kindly help.
The pid code does not have a way of detecting the zero crossing and such the Triac is not being triggered as expected
